Malfunctions in the heating circuit

 

Error 101 - The cause may be overheating thermostat or NTC sensor at the output of the primary heat exchanger. It operates at a temperature of 102 degrees, receiving a signal about the coolant overheating. The main reasons: increased pressure at the outlet of the gas valve - recommend testing and adjustment. The coarse filter is dirty - poor circulation in the heating system - check and, if necessary, clean the filter from dirt. Bad cross-country heat exchanger due to scale formations - in this case it is recommended to rinse or replace. Malfunction of the circulation pump. In addition to these faults, there may also be damage to the NTC sensor itself or to the electronic control card.

 

Error 102 - Heating circuit pressure sensor defective (short circuit or open circuit) - Check the sensor voltage on the terminal board and install a new one if necessary. Voltage 0 Volts or 5 Volts on the control unit leads to a stop by code 102.

 

Error 103 - The heating medium in the supply line heats up too quickly (more than seven degrees per second).

 

Mistake 104 - Temperature rise in the supply and return lines by more than 20 degrees per second.

 

Error 105 - The difference between the temperatures of the supply and return pipelines exceeds 55 degrees (three times).

 

Error 106 - The temperature of the return pipe is 10 ° higher than the feed temperature (three times).

 

Error 107 - The temperature in the return pipe exceeds the supply temperature by 30 degrees one time.

 

Error 108 - The pressure drop in the heating system is below the required level (models equipped with a pressure sensor). In most cases, it is recommended to add water to the system (makeup) to solve the problem, but if such a problem occurs again after a short period of time (several days), you may need to look for the cause of the coolant leakage or check the expansion tank.


Error 109 - Pressure over three bars.

 

Error 110 - Faulty thermistor at the heating system supply (open circuit, no contact, short circuit).

 

Error 111 - Similar to code 108 for Ariston models with automatic replenishment mode.

 

Error 112 - Return pipe temperature sensor malfunction (open circuit or short circuit).

 

Error 114 - There is no contact with the outdoor temperature sensor (a problem may occur with the firmware of the electronic board for some boiler models).

 

Error 116 - Same as 114, only for room temperature sensor.

 

Problems in the NTC circuit

 

201 - The sensor for feeding to the DHW circuit (NTC) - there is no contact.

202 - The sensor for supply to the DHW circuit (short circuit).

203 - Temperature sensor in the tank - no contact.

204 - The temperature sensor in the tank - a short circuit.

205 - The sensor at the inlet to the DHW circuit (from the solar system) - there is no contact.

206 - The sensor at the inlet to the DHW circuit (from the solar system) is a short circuit.

207 - Overheating of the solar collector piping.

208 - Low temperature in the pipeline of the solar collector.

209 - Overheating in the tank (boiler).

 

Problems with the electronic control unit

301 - Display malfunction, ROM problems.

302 - GP-GIU exchange error.

303 - Internal fault of the computer.

304 - More than five faults within 15 minutes - Here is meant more than 5 RESET button presses, to reset error 304 simply turn off the boiler and turn it on again.

305 - Internal block error.

306 - Internal control unit error.

307 - Internal fault of the computer.

 

Faults in ignition and detection

 

Error 501 - No flame during ignition. Probable signs, and what needs to be done: The gas or the faucet was forgotten to open. If the gas still exists, and the unit ignites, and then dries with an error of 501, then check the ionization electrode (flame sensor). Make sure that it is clean, not bent, the wire from it is not broken and reaches the board with which it successfully connects.


Error 502 - The flame is detected when the gas valve is closed. Probable signs, and what needs to be done: If the flame does not really exist, but the boiler produces this error, then the cause is in the ionization electrode. Perhaps it is wet and fixes what is not. The second thing that can be is the malfunction of the gas valve.

 

The following four errors have a general description: Possible problem in the ionization electrode, gas pressure, or air flow, the outflow of combustion products. It happens that in the cold condensate on the chimney intrudes and prevents the movement of air into and out of the apparatus. Therefore, the correct installation of the chimney with a slight downward slope is recommended to drain the condensate.

 

Error 5P1 - First ignition attempt failed.

Error 5P2 - The second ignition attempt is unsuccessful.

Error 5P3 (SP3) - Flame separation during operation.

Error 5P4 - Three flames in one working cycle.

 

Error 601 - The flue gas overheating sensor has triggered (only in apparatus with an open combustion chamber, standing in the vicinity of the chimney).

Error 604 - The fan speed is too low or the Hall sensor is faulty.

 

Common faults of the Ariston boilers with codes 607, 6P1, 6P2.

 

Error 607 - The air pressure switch has tripped before ignition started.

Error 608 - The pressure switch did not work, but the fan turned on (check the pressure switch and all its connections).

 

Error 6P1 or 6P2 - Contact closure delay of air pressure switch. In case of overheating, for example, if you tried to ignite the appliance with an unfilled heating system, or after a long period of inactivity, air was accumulated in the primary heat exchanger, or maybe for some other reason. But as a result of overheating, the lower part of the Venturi tube melts slightly. And then the air pressure switch stops discharging, because air sucks through the hole formed in the tube. The result is protection of the boiler, with error codes 6P1 or 6P2.

 

The difference of codes is that if all this happens during the operation of the device, then it will go out and display the code 6P2. If you try to ignite it with an already damaged handset, it simply does not light up and gives out the error code 6P1. Thus, one more degree of protection of the unit is in effect.
