Whirlpool Refrigerator Error Codes

The Whirlpool refrigerators are equipped with a sophisticated electronic unit that controls a large number of functions: it monitors the temperature, the modes in the refrigerator compartment, and other functions. Each refrigerator can display various error codes, the values of which are specified in the instruction. Error codes help to understand what the fault is.

AL01 - The refrigerator temperature sensor is faulty.

AL02 - the evaporator temperature sensor is defective.

The serviceability of the temperature sensor is very important in the operation of the refrigerator. The sensor detects the temperature level. If the sensor is defective, then the wrong information is sent to the central control system, which signals the motor by the compressor. In the event of a sensor failure, the compressor starts to malfunction.

AL03 - the freezer temperature sensor is defective.

CF - module does not see the display, there is no communication.

The causes of malfunctioning of Whirlpool electronic controlled refrigerators are often the failure of a temperature sensor or damage to the control card as a result of a power surge. In rare cases, a power surge may also damage the control display (if present).

In some models, there may be refrigerant leaks and control board malfunctions caused by the natural wear of the parts.

Compressor failure is not typical for Whirlpool refrigerators, and this malfunction is extremely rare.
