Company Osaka Kinzoku Kogyosho Ltd. (OKKL) initially produced pipes for radiators in airplanes. However, later the founder of the company Akira Yamada decided to change the specialization of the enterprise. So it began to manufacture ventilation and refrigeration equipment.

While Japan held fluorinated refrigerants, and therefore already in 1936 released the first OKKL own installation for air conditioning in trains. The company was able to survive the war due to this production, as orders from the government came all the time.

But the Daikin brand itself, which currently holds more than 3 thousand patents for inventions, became known only in 1963, because it was then that the company has become otherwise known as -. Further development of the company contributed to the Olympics in 1964 in Tokyo. It ultimately resulted in the fact that there was a factory for the production of rooftops and then the production of centrifugal chillers.

In 1969, under the Daikin brand, the first split-system appeared. The energy crisis also stimulated Daikin's development of air-conditioning technologies for large buildings. As a result, systems have appeared that have had variable refrigerant flow (VRV). At the beginning of this century, they were modernized so that the refrigerants in them did not threaten the ozone layer of the planet. Development has become particularly effective and successful due to the use of freons.

Daikin company is 12 enterprises employing about 30 thousand employees. She established her subsidiaries in many countries of Europe. This led to a decrease in the cost of production. For example, in Belgium, Daikin Europe N.V. is successfully operating, and in the Czech Republic - Daikin Industries Czech Republic.

At present, Daikin brand is rightfully the leader in the production of a variety of climate technology. This is the specialization of Daikin. In the list of products that it produces, there are compressors, air conditioning systems, refrigerant oils, and refrigerants themselves.
