McQuay Brand History

The history of McQuay includes more than a century of successful activity. Its beginning is considered to be 1872, when the firm J & E Hall, specializing in the production of refrigeration and freezing equipment, was founded. This firm later acquired McQuay.

McQuay was established in 1933. She specialized in the supply and service of air conditioning, ventilation and heating equipment, as well as in the production of heating equipment - heat exchangers and radiators.

In 1965, McQuay opens its unit in Italy - McQuay Europe. After 4 years, the plant, which was located south of Rome in the city of Chekkin, began to produce chillers.

The turning point in the history of the company occurred in 1984, when McQuay is part of the American group of companies Snyder General and thus receives the status of an international corporation.

In the following year, McQuay is engaged in the organization of an extensive network of service points and brings together the brands McQuay Service, AAF, BarryBlower and JennFann, thus gaining a solid foundation for further development.

As a result, the largest American companies - Singer, Remington, American Furnace Company, American Air Filter, Westinghouse, Herman Nelson Company and Perfex - began to produce their products under the brand of McQuay. Each of them occupied the leading positions in its branch of the market and introduced new technologies and quality assurance to the joint venture.

In 1994, McQuay merged (as part of the Snyder General group of companies) with O.Y.L. Industries, Berhad, which belonged to the Hong Leong Group. This event significantly expanded the capabilities of McQuay in the field of research and development. In addition, this increase in production resources has increased the competitiveness of equipment and significantly expanded the range of equipment produced. Thanks to this, McQuay products cover all the main directions related to the creation and maintenance of indoor microclimate.

2006 was marked for McQuay by the merger of Daikin Industries Ltd. from Japan and the group of enterprises O.Y.L. Industries, Berhad. As a result, Daikin and O.Y.L joined the financial and scientific-design resources. At the end of 2006, the United Company took the 2nd place in the world for the production of air-conditioning equipment.

Currently, McQuay combines many years of experience in working on climate equipment and the latest technologies in the field of refrigeration, freezing and climate equipment.
