Error codes washing machines Indesit

All error codes starting with F01 to F11 are valid for Indesit and Ariston 2000 washing machines.

Starting from F01 to F12 - for washing machines Indesit, a new series of "Evolution".

From F01 to F15 - for washing machines with drying.

If your washing machine has only one indicator light (EVO-I control system), then the error code is determined by the number of flashes in one cycle, after a pause. Thus, if the indicator flashes eight times, then a pause, then another 8 times, and so on, is a code of error for F08, similarly for other errors. The decoding of the codes is the same as for the other series of washing machines Indesit and Ariston.

Error code Error code interpretation Probable malfunction of the washing machine

F01 Short circuit in the control circuit of the CM drive motor

Check for possible water ingress on the J9 connector.

Check the contact strip of the drive motor (a possible cause of the problem is the chemical corrosion of its contacts).

Replace the electronic module of the washing machine.

F02 The drive motor does not work, the tachogenerator circuit is short-circuited or in the break

Check whether the motor is mechanically blocked.

Check the reliability of the terminals on the J9 connector of the electronic module.

Check the electrical resistance of the sensor (about 115 ... 170 0m).

The resistance is measured between pins 1 and 2 of connector J9. In the event of a short circuit in this circuit, disconnect connector J9 and check the wires from the side of the sensor. If an induction motor is installed in the CM, make sure the electrical connection of terminals 6 and 7 of the J9 connector to the sensor is secure.

Replace the motor.

Replace the electronic module.

F03 The NTC temperature sensor circuit is closed, either in the open circuit or "stuck" in the TEN relay

Check the reliability of the J8 connector.

Check the temperature sensor, considering that its resistance at room temperature (20 ° C) is 20 kOhm (can be measured at terminals 11 and 12 of connector J8). If the result is different, check the integrity of the wiring from the module to the sensor.

Replace the NTC temperature sensor.

Replace the electronic module.

F04 The water level sensor simultaneously generates the signals "EMPTY TANK" and "FREQUENCY"

The reason for this defect is that the sensor is "filled" with the contact group "EMPTY TANK", in this case the CM pours the water to the overflow level. When this level is reached, the drain pump is automatically turned on.

Check the connection quality of J3 connector on the electronic module.

Check the condition of the level sensor (on the connectors of the connector and):

Contacts-2-4 are closed - level "EMPTY TANK";

Contacts 2-3 closed - level "FULL TANK";

Contacts 2-1 are closed - the level of "FIRES" (not less than half the level of the glass of the loading hatch.

Replace the level sensor.

Replace the electronic module.

F05 The drain pump is blocked (does not work) or the level sensor generates a signal EMPTY TANK after the completion of the water draining procedure

Check the connections at J9. At the time of the intended operation of the pump, it is possible to check the presence between contacts 8,9 of the J9 connector of the alternating voltage of 220 V.

Check the filter and drain hose.

Replace the drain pump.

Replace the electronic module.

F06 Button Error

The code is displayed in the SM of the Ariston Dialogic family (AD series)

Check for the presence of a contact in the connectors and harnesses between the controller and the control panel.

Check the serviceability of the buttons on the control panel.

Successively replace the control panel and electronic controller.

F07 After completing the water fill operation, the level sensor does not remove the signal "EMPTY TANK"

If there is no water in the tank after the operation of water filling, no power is supplied to the heater.

This is a protective function, since without water the heater can burn out

Check for water in the water supply or water pressure is too low.

Check the water inlet valve.

Check the blockage in the water filling system.

Check the water level sensor (pressure switch).

After filling the water (if any), the contact group "EMPTY TANK" of the level sensor must be open. Its status is monitored, for example, on pins 2 and 3 of the J3 connector of the electronic module. Otherwise, the level sensor and the electronic module are successively replaced.

F08 The TEN relay on the module has turned on permanently (its contact group is "flooded") or the level sensor simultaneously generates signals "EMPTY TANK" and "FULL TANK"

Check the level sensor - see error F04. The TEN control relay on the module is checked by a replacement.

Check wiring from connector L to level sensor.

Check the connection between the heater and the module (see pins 5 and 6 of connector ^ 3).

Check the operation of the heater.

Replace the level sensor.

Replace the electronic module.

F09 Error (crash) of the contents of non-volatile EEPROM memory, program error

The contents of the non-volatile EEPROM memory are newly stitched.

If the EEPROM chip is OK, replace the entire module (note that the memory chip installed on it has a firmware for the specific CM model).

F10 After the start of the water filling process (for the time allotted for this), the level sensor does not generate a FULL TANK signal (provided that the BLANK TANK signal is passive, that is, there is already water in the tank)

Check the level sensor - see error F04.

Check the electrical connections between the J3 connector of the electronic module and the level sensor.

Replace the level sensor.

Replace the electronic module.

F11 There is no feedback signal about the operation of the drain pump (the pump supply circuit is broken or its winding is broken)

Check the connection of the drain pump to the electronic module.

Check the resistance of the drain pump winding on connector J15, pins 1 and 2 (if the machine is equipped with the Easy Door function) or on connector J9, pins 8 and 9. The resistance of the drain pump winding should be about 170 ohms.

Replace the drain pump.

Replace the electronic module.

F12 No communication between the indicating module and the electronic module

Check the reliability of the electrical connections between the J11 connector of the main electronics module and the indicating module.

Replace the main electronic module.

Replace the indicating module.

F13 The drying temperature control circuit is faulty (for "Margarita 2000" CM with drying, EVO-I controller)

Check the connection between the CAN connector of the electronic controller and the drying temperature sensor.

Check the serviceability of the drying temperature sensor and electronic controller (replacement).

F14 Drying does not start (for "Margarita 2000" CM with drying, EVO-I controller)

Check the connections between the electronic controller and the drying heater.

Check the TEN drying and electronic controller (replacement).

F15 Drying is not switched off (for SM "Margarita 2000" with drying, controller EVO-I)

Check for the presence of a contact in the connector CN1 on the backplane.

Check and if necessary replace the level sensor and connection board.

F16 Drum blocked (only in CM with vertical loading) Check the lock of the drum (power circuit of the lock solenoid).

F17 There is no locking of the door of the hatch or the door is open (for SM with Easy Door function)

Check the presence of 220 V on pins 3 and 4 of J4 connector (not in STANDBY mode), and between pins 3 and 5 of the door lock.

Check the activation of the feedback microswitch (with the door closed and the machine switched off) on tracks 1 and 2 of the J4 connector of the electronic module.

Check the connection of the wires from connector M to the lock on the manhole.

Check that the lock is securely latched.

Replace the door lock.

Replace the electronic module.

F18 Communication error between the controller ICs and the DSP (Asynchronous Drive Motor Control Processor) on the main electronic module. Replace the main electronic module.

Indesit AVD series and AVL with EVO-II control system Error Codes

All washing machines with this control system differ among themselves, on some models there is no display on which the error code can be displayed. In such cases, the error code is determined by flashing the indicators.

If the light is on, then this is Flash, if not, then - Off.
